Our Purpose
Welcome to Sands of Change. My name is Zakaria Fazal and I'm the author of this journalistic blog. I've been working and living across the Middle East for 5+ years, studying Arabic for 7+ years and I've been academically engaged with the region for as long as I can remember. My goal with this project is to exercise some journalistic creativity, counter popular narratives, and challenge anyone bold enough to read for 5 minutes without distraction.

Our goal is to engage with individuals interested in the region's dynamic landscape, offering diverse perspectives and insights.
